Pennyhush is provided by Cristal Code Middle East L.L.C-FZ. No Pennyhush account is required to use the app. This policy covers the current iPhone app and Pennyhush website.

The app stores the Books, accounts, transactions, balances, categories, tags, notes, receipts, budgets and preferences you enter. These records support expense tracking and related features. Widgets and Shortcuts use an app group on the same device. Optional device authentication is handled by iOS; Pennyhush does not receive your biometric data or device passcode.

Local Books remain on the iPhone. When you choose iCloud storage, Book data is stored using Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure under your Apple Account. A shared Book makes its records available to invited participants according to their permissions. New transactions include a contributor identifier, their original creation time and, when available, a display name. An optional name entered in Settings is included on future entries. These details are shared with the Book’s participants. Pennyhush does not operate a separate server that receives your ledger for this website. Apple’s services are governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

The camera is used when you choose to photograph a receipt. You can instead select an image from Photos or Files. Receipt text recognition uses Apple’s on-device Vision framework. A receipt attached to an iCloud or shared Book is included in that Book’s storage and sharing; review images before attaching them.

A personal Shortcuts automation can pass purchase details you configure, such as amount and merchant, to the app. Purchases that need review remain in the app’s protected local storage until posted. The FinanceKit transaction picker, where available, supplies only the purchases you select for review. Continuous bank account syncing is not currently enabled.

Exports are created at your request and can contain financial records and receipts. You control where you save or share them. If you contact us or send TestFlight feedback, we receive the information you submit and use it to investigate and respond. Avoid including unnecessary financial or identifying information.

This website does not ask for your ledger, bank credentials or card numbers. Its source includes no advertising, behavioral analytics, tracking pixels or marketing cookie scripts. Hosting and delivery providers, including Cloudflare, may process ordinary connection information such as IP address, requested URL and browser information to deliver and protect the site. Downloading a shortcut also makes a request to the file host. Your selected website theme is saved in this browser’s local storage; it is not sent to Pennyhush as an account preference. Links to Apple and other sites are subject to those providers’ policies.

Keep records for as long as you need them, export a backup, remove entries, change app permissions, or manage who can access a shared Book. Cloud records may remain after uninstalling the app. See Your data & Books for practical guidance.
